1. Anish Trivedi (Digital and Broadcast Media Entrepreneur)
Anish is a former partner at the New York investment bank, Oppenheimer Inc. where he served as the Country Head for India. Subsequently , he has been involved with radio for almost 30 years, beginning with a show at USC’s college station. He went on to host one of the first shows to air on India’s privatised airwaves in 1993, and has since been the breakfast show host on Radio Mid-day’s GO 92.5 FM in Mumbai. Anish has also produced and anchored television channels like CNBC, CNN, PBS, CNNfn, Zee, Zee English and Channel V. He is a former Food Editor of Elle magazine, and writes regular columns for a number of newspapers, magazines and websites. He is also the author of two plays, both of which had a successful run on the Indian stage. A jazz and blues fanatic, Anish oversees finance and strategy at Banyan Tree- actively involved in developing markets and new business for the company.
2. Vikesh Wallia (Sr VP, Board Director – Times Group – WWM)
Mr Vikesh Wallia has an MBA (Marketing) and Masters in Media Business Management – has over three decades of Sales & Marketing experience to his credit. He has largely been with FMCG and Print Media businesses, all through. Vikesh is currently Senior Vice President- Circulation Sales & Exports, Board Director – Times Group-WWM . He looks after Circulation Sales and International Markets for The Times Group. He has been with the group for over 15 years.He has special interest in micro entrepreneurship at the bottom of the pyramid and small businesses run out of pavements and hole in the wall shops.He is a life member of Bombay Management Association and Ad Club of Bombay.He is also a visiting faculty for MMS programme of Mumbai University and in Times School of Marketing.
3. Mini Menon (Executive Editor,Bloomberg TV)
Mini Menon has covered both political and business news for the last 16 years. She is currently the Executive Editor of Bloomberg TV India, where she is in charge of news and features shows. Mini has won awards for her work as a news anchorin 2013 she was adjudged as one of the 10 most influential women in Indian Marketing, Advertising and Media by Impact magazine. Mini graduated from St Stephen’s college, Delhi with a degree in History. She went on to do her Masters in Communication Research in the University of Pune. In 08-09, she was judged the best business news anchor by the Indian Broadcast Federation, Zee Astitva Award for Journalism, Rajiv Gandhi award for Excellence as a young achiever. She was invited to be a member of CII’s National Committee as the Regional Chairperson of CII’s Indian women network IWN. Mini participated in and won the Femina Miss India Asia Pacific title after her second year in college in 1996 .
4. Vishan Hardasani (Director Finance &CFO,Conde Nast India)
Presently in employment with Conde Nast India, one of the largest publishing houses in the world, as a Finance Director and CFO of the Indian company. He has 17 years of experience in Finance sector like KPMG , PWC , JWT , McCann Erickson India. He is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, MBA Finance – MET College, Mumbai University .
5. Omar Qureshi (ExEditor in Chief , Zoom TV)
Writer/ Editor of India’s best known film entertainment magazine, ‘Stardust’ from 1986-1999. Increased visibility, brand value and circulation of above by almost 150% through sheer writing and Editorial skills over 13 years.Used superb celebrity relations to create mini brands and association for Magna Publishing Co. the parent company . Moved to Times of India Group as Editor – Indiatimes Entertainment/Movies in 1999. Became Bollywood Editor for Times Group, using skills and resources across Times NOW, ZOOM TV, Internet, Print, Events, Radio, Mobile – related to Bollywood industry. Wote columns and articles across media.Launched own Entertainment Company (Omar Qureshi Entertainment Ventures Pvt. Limited) for Content Syndication across media.
6. Pradyuman Maheshwari (Editor-in-Chief &CEO,MxMIndia)
Pradyuman Maheshwari has 27 years experience in the media, as an editor of various newspapers and online publications, as an educator, as a full-time blogger, a radio host, a television producer and now an entrepreneur. He has been Editor and Head, Mid-Day Interactive , Editor of The Maharashtra Herald , Senior Editor, DNA&Group Chief Editor,exchange4media . In addition to holding the above positions ,Pradyuman has been a Visiting Faculty for over 2 decades on journalism and media convergence at various institutes in Mumbai and Pune — Xavier Institute of Communications, University of Pune, SNDT University, International School for Business & Media, Foundation for Liberal And Management Education and the Symbiosis Institute of Communications. He is currently Editor-in-Chief and CEO, MxMIndia.com.
7. Smita Deshmukh (ED,Next Level Media Network)
Smita Deshmukh is a senior journalist based in Mumbai. With a degree in science and mass communications/journalism from University of Mumbai, she has brought a rich heritage to Next Level Media Network – a leading media strategy company based in Mumbai. Smita has 22 years news gathering experience in covering politics, education, environment, entertainment and civic issues. She has worked with major newspaper groups in India like Indian Express, Times of India and DNA.
